Unidentified persons today pelted stones at the convoy of former Union Minister and PMK candidate for Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency Anbumani Ramadoss, damaging his car.
Though Ramadoss escaped unhurt in the incident, the car driver sustained minor injuries on his face, police said.
The incident occurred at Santhaipatti village, while Ramadoss was on his way for campaigning for the April 24 polls.
Talking to reporters, Ramadoss criticised the government for not providing adequate police protection for him.
"I had requested the government for providing adequate police protection to me in the wake of some life threats I received. But no action was taken", he said.
Police said they were conducting an inquiry, though nobody was arrested in connection with the incident so far.
