Road rage: Businessman's Personal Security Officer allegedly shot man

New Delhi: An 18-year-old boy was allegedly shot at by the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of a Delhi businessman in a road rage incident in New Delhi, police said on Monday. The PSO has been arrested.

Vikas, who was shot in his shoulder and wrist, was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

A case has been registered and PSO Somdev, 35, a resident of Haryana, has been arrested.

The incident took place at Ring Road (between Dhaula Kuan and Naraina) in Delhi Cantonment area around 10.30 p.m. on Sunday.

Vikas and his three friends were heading towards his home in west Delhi's Uttam Nagar area on motorcycles. At around the same time, the PSO was going to Pitampura with his employer in a car.

"Vikas thought that the accused's car was trying to hit his motorcycle. He and his friends stopped in front of the car and attacked the PSO after a heated argument. The PSO fired at Vikas from his pistol," police said
