Powai:
A couple in Mumbai has gone missing after they allegedly attacked a 13-year-old who worked for them with an iron.
The couple reportedly decided to punish their underage domestic help after their young son got burnt while she was ironing the family's clothes.
The alleged victim has told the police that the child's mother, in a fit of rage, switched on the clothes iron and burnt the teen's hand with it. She then allegedly hit her with a rod.
The family then asked her to leave their house in Central Mumbai's Powai area. She was spotted on the road by a rickshaw driver who took her to meet a social worker who in turn helped her to file a police complaint.
The family and the teenager are originally from Bhopal.
The police has charged the family with using child labour and assault.
