Mumbai:
A 57-year-old alcoholic was bludgeoned to death with a blunt object allegedly by his son following a heated argument at their residence in suburban Vikhroli on Wednesday, police said.
Ramalinga Arsan was hit with a stone grinder by his son Ravikumar (32) at his residence at Thagorenagar area, police said adding that after the murder, the accused surrendered before them.
According to police, the accused, his wife and mother were sleeping in their house when Ramalinga, at around 3 am, came home and started abusing all.
This led to a heated argument between Ramalinga and Ravikumar, police said adding, subsequently the former tried to hit his son with a stone grinder in the house.
Ravikumar snatched the grinder and used it to hit his father's head, injuring him grievously, police added.
