Now, Sena asks banks to write name in Marathi

Mumbai: A Shiv Sena legislator has made a forceful demand that all the banks in Maharashtra should write their sign boards in Marathi within a month.

"The names of all the banks should be written in Marathi within a month. Their names should also be translated into Marathi otherwise Sena would protest against it," Diwakar Raote said.

He was participating in a debate in the Legislative Council on the Marathi division established by the state government recently.

He also asked the Government to write Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank's board in Marathi, since it is a state owned bank.

The Sena leader also wanted that forms issued by MHADA, a housing authority should be made available in Marathi.
