Gang using red beacons on cars busted

New Delhi: Delhi Police today claimed to have busted a gang of robbers who used red beacon on their
cars to get past checkpoints with the arrest of four men, including a teenager.

Rajesh Kumar, Jyoti Prakash, Monu and Harvinder were arrested after a trap was laid for them in Bawana early this week.

They were allegedly involved in several cases of robbery and theft committed in Delhi and Haryana.

The gang used stolen vehicles to move around the city and fitted red beacons on their cars to get past security check points. "One of them would often wear a police uniform
to hoodwink security," police said.
