Delhi businessman found dead inside car, cops search for driver

Delhi: A 40-year-old businessman was found murdered inside his Chevrolet Aveo car near Sohna-Palwal road on Monday night. His driver, who is missing after the incident, is said to be behind the murder.

The deceased, Naresh Bhati was the owner of Krishna Steel and Cement Company, located near Chhawla village in southwest Delhi. Bhati employed his driver, Arun, without proper verification, around six days ago.

On July 25, Bhati left his office for home along with his new driver and was missing since then.  Bhati was also carrying Rs 2 lakh in cash, the total amount collected in his office that day. The bag with the cash was missing from the car in which his body was discovered.

Bhati's brother-in-law, Raj Singh had lodged a report with the local police station. Following the discovery, Kishan Kumar, the deceased's brother, was informed by Haryana police that his brother was found dead inside his car that was parked at Sohna-Palwal road.

The police have registered an FIR under sections 365 (kidnapping) and 302 (murder) of IPC.

Investigations into the case are on. A manhunt has been launched to nab Bhati's driver Arun who is still absconding.
