
Tata Motors reported total wholesales of 73,178 units in August 2025, a marginal increase over 71,693 units sold in August 2024. While overall passenger vehicle sales dipped slightly, the month marked a record for Tata's fast-growing electric vehicle portfolio.

Tata Motors - Passenger Vehicles
The company's passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including EVs, stood at 43,315 units, down 3% YoY from 44,486 units last year. Domestic sales dropped 7% to 41,001 units, while exports rose sharply to 2,314 units, reporting a 573% growth.

Tata Motors - Electric Vehicles
Talking of electric vehicles, the brand highlights big numbers this time. With Tata posting its highest-ever monthly EV sales at 8,540 units, a solid 44% YoY jump, it is understandable, the demand for electric vehicles is strong too.

Tata Motors - Commercial Vehicles
Tata's commercial vehicle (CV) segment posted healthy growth, with sales at 29,863 units, up 10% YoY. Domestic CV sales rose 6% to 27,481 units, while international business surged 77% to 2,382 units.

Segment-wise, HCV trucks grew 5% (7,451 units), ILMCV trucks rose 15% (5,711 units), passenger carriers improved 5% (3,577 units), and SCV cargo & pickup sales climbed 4% (10,742 units).
