Maruti Suzuki Jimny, the five-door version of the SUV, is made in India and is sold in multiple international markets. Its iconic name, backed by the off-roading capabilities, the model has earned decent popularity in the international markets. The popularity of the vehicle goes hand in hand with its demand among tuners, who probably see it as an empty canvas. The latest custom iteration that we have stumbled upon brings Italian aesthetics to its Japanese genes.

This iteration of the SUV comes from DAMD, a company that designs and manufactures customised parts for cars. For this Jimny, they have created parts that make it look like an old Lancia. Specifically, the front fascia. The change in aesthetics has been achieved by using lots of accessories with certain parts aimed at improving the off-road capabilities of the vehicle.

The front grille has been completely transformed. It, along with the round quad headlights, is derived from DAMD's current Little D kit, which brings back memories of the Lancia Delta Integrale. The vehicle features sturdy off-road metal bumpers, a metal skid plate, yellow fog lights, and various off-road enhancements. This modification includes OZ Racing alloy wheels in military-inspired colors, fitted with off-road tires.

While the standard Jimny has a ground clearance of 210 mm, this modified version appears to have a lifted suspension, giving it improved ground clearance. As a result, it is likely a much more proficient off-roader than the standard SUV. The original Jimny is already impressive, boasting approach and departure angles of 46 degrees and 36 degrees, respectively. With the changes in place, the model has likely received an upgrade even in this area.

Additionally, the roof is equipped with four amber LED lights (produced by IPF) that function as positioning lamps. Another standout feature is the truck-style side mirrors, which include built-in heaters and an angle memory function, adding significant character to the build. Inside, this version showcases retro-themed fabric seat upholstery.

The mechanical details of the SUV have not been revealed. However, chances are, it carries the same naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, which produces 103 hp of power. This power is used by a four-wheel-drive system with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.
