Oben Electric is preparing to launch the latest iteration of its Rorr EZ electric motorcycle in the Indian market on August 5. This comes nine months after the launch of the outgoing EZ in November 2024. Furthermore, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer has announced that the bookings for the EV will begin on the same day as the launch. Meanwhile, the deliveries are scheduled to begin on August 15.

The company has also hinted at the motorcycle, giving us a teaser of its silhouette. The teaser reveals that the essential styling features of the motorcycle, including the round headlight, side panels, and alloy wheels, will be preserved.

In its current version, the motorcycle comes with three riding modes - Eco, City, and Havoc. Oben Electric has mentioned that the motorcycle will undergo several upgrades, though the specifics of these changes have not been disclosed by the company and will likely be revealed on the day of the launch itself.

The next generation of the Rorr EZ showcases what the company refers to as improved technology and rider-centric advancements while keeping the original model's commuter-friendly style.

The motorcycle will continue to use Oben Electric's lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, which the company claims offers better heat resistance and a longer life compared to other battery options. According to Indian Driving Cycle standards, the existing Rorr EZ delivers a range of up to 175 kilometers on a single charge.

The motorcycle can reach 80 percent charge in 45 minutes and has a maximum speed of 95 kilometers per hour. These specifications cater to everyday commuters looking for an alternative to conventional motorcycles. Presently, the bike is sold at a starting price of Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). With the latest version, the prices of the bike may undergo a revision.
