Oben Electric Teases Upcoming Motorcycle Ahead Of April 30 Debut

Oben Electric has shared the first teaser for its new upcoming electric motorcycle, building anticipation ahead of the official reveal on April 30, 2026. The Bengaluru-based EV maker will disclose full specifications and availability details at the event. This launch positions Oben to further strengthen its lineup in India's expanding electric two-wheeler market.

Teaser Highlights Front Design

The teaser image focuses on the motorcycle's front end, showcasing a distinctive LED headlamp setup. A projector lens sits below a U-shaped LED daytime running light bar, suggesting a modern and aggressive lighting signature. No other body panels or side profiles appear in the preview, leaving much to the imagination.

The campaign slogan "Unleash The Bold" hints at a design philosophy emphasizing standout visuals, potentially differentiating it from Oben's current models like the Rorr and Rorr EZ, which feature a circular headlamp.

Technical Specs Under Wraps

Oben has not revealed key details such as battery capacity, range, power output, top speed, or charging times. Expectations are that the electric motorcycle will draw from the brand's existing LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology.

Regarding powertrains, Oben's existing lineup has a maximum capacity of 4.4 kWh, boasting a range of up to 187 km on a single charge, and it can achieve a top speed of 100 km/h. The acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h takes only 3 seconds, and the charging duration is approximately 2 hours. This is possible with an 8 kW motor driving the rear wheel via a belt drive.The new bike could target urban commuters or expand into performance segments, but its exact positioning remains unclear until the debut.

Since entering the market, Oben has focused on practical electric motorcycles with features like multiple ride modes, regenerative braking, and connected tech. It also gets geofencing, USB Ports, theft alert, unified braking system, and more. The addition of a third model underscores the company's growth ambitions amid rising demand for EVs. With presence in over 100 cities, Oben aims to make advanced electric mobility more accessible.
