Royal Enfield launched its first electric motorcycle, named the Flying Flea C6, in India at a starting price of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). With battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), the electric motorcycle costs Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This launch represents a significant advancement in the company's entry into the electric vehicle segment. Moreover, this event will pave the way for the future electric motorcycles that the brand has already announced.
Flying Flea C6: Range, Specs
The Flying Flea C6 features a 15.4 kW (20 hp) PMSM electric motor and uses a 3.91 kWh battery pack. As per the reported specifications, the motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 115 kmph. It has a claimed IDC range of 154 km, and the onboard charger can recharge the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in approximately 65 minutes.

Flying Flea C6: Features
Royal Enfield has loaded the motorcycle with an extensive array of features tailored for urban riders. This includes all-LED lighting, Google-based onboard navigation, wireless phone charging, cornering ABS, traction control, and ride modes like Sport and Individual. The Individual mode allows the rider to customize the traction control, ABS intervention, and throttle response.

Flying Flea C6: Design
In terms of aesthetics, the Flying Flea C6 adopts a unique and compact style. Inspired by the original Flying Flea, this electric motorcycle showcases an exposed frame, girder-type front suspension, a floating seat, and a detachable pillion seat. These features provide it with a distinctive character compared to Royal Enfield's traditional petrol motorcycles.
The battery pack will be housed in an aluminum casing designed to enhance the motorcycle's aerodynamics and cooling efficiency. This design also adds to the bike's unique appearance. With all these features, the motorcycle weighs in at 124 kg, making it the lightest model ever produced by Royal Enfield.
