Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition Launched In India At Rs 87 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition in India at Rs 87 lakh, adding a limited-run performance hatchback to its AMG line-up. The model brings back the A45 badge to the Indian market after nearly three years and costs less than the previous A45 AMG. It is to be noted that the previous performance-oriented hatchback was priced at Rs 92.50 lakh.

Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition: Engine, Performance

The Aero Track Edition is powered by the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine shared with the standard A45 S. It produces 421 hp and 500 Nm of torque, and is paired with Mercedes-AMG's 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and an automatic transmission.

Mercedes-AMG claims a 0-100 kmph time of 3.9 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 270 kmph. These figures are unchanged from the regular A45 S, which means the update is focused on styling and aerodynamics rather than mechanical changes.

Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition: Design

What sets the special edition apart is the AMG Aerodynamics Package. It includes a fixed rear wing, a more prominent front splitter, and a reworked rear diffuser, all developed through wind tunnel testing to improve high-speed stability.

The hatchback also gets a more aggressive exterior treatment with the AMG Night package, which adds gloss-black detailing, 19-inch AMG forged alloy wheels finished in matte black, and red brake calipers. These additions give the car a more track-focused appearance without changing its core hardware.

The A45 S Aero Track Edition is aimed at buyers looking for an exclusive and high-performance hatchback in a niche segment. With its limited-run positioning and motorsport-inspired design, it continues Mercedes-AMG's strategy of offering special editions to attract enthusiasts in India. Along with this, the brand has also launched the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition, which comes at Rs 1.52 crore (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
