Kia India recently unveiled the Carens Clavis in the Indian market. At the time, the brand announced that the bookings for the MPV would begin on May 9 via the official website and dealerships of the brand. However, the brand refrained from revealing the prices of the vehicle. Now, the time has come, and the South Korean brand is set to announce the prices of the vehicle tomorrow. Carrying the Carens name, the MPV brings a host of upgrades in terms of design, interior, and features. Before the launch event, here are all the details of the vehicle.
Kia Carens Clavis: Exterior
Kia Carens Clavis MPV comes with a completely new design for the front fascia. It consists of a triangular headlamp with LED DRLs, which is reminiscent of the EV5 sold in the international market. All of this gives the MPV an upright stance with silver bash plates. Meanwhile, the silhouette of the vehicle remains the same, with a new design for the dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear end follows the same pattern as the previous iteration, with a fresh appeal and an LED light strip.

Kia Carens Clavis: Interior
The Kia Carens Clavis shares the same layout as the MPV it is derived from, i.e., the Carens, which now only has one variant on sale- both versions come in 6-seat and 7-seat options. This comes with changes to the seat materials and door trim, incorporating lighter-coloured materials aimed at offering a premium feel. It also gets a flat-bottom steering wheel found in the Syros.

Kia Carens Clavis: Features
The list of features includes a 22.62-inch dual-screen setup, which is the same setup used in the Seltos, consisting of a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display. Additionally, the Carens Clavis includes redesigned AC vents and controls for the automatic air conditioning, four-way power adjustable seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8-speaker Bose sound system, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS features, and more.

Kia Carens Clavis: Powertrain
In contrast to the Carens, the Clavis offers an extra engine and transmission choice: a 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol paired with a 6-speed manual. The options of a 115hp, 1.5-liter petrol with 6-speed manual; a 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol with 6-speed iMT and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic; and a 116hp, 1.5-liter diesel with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic remain unchanged.
Kia Carens Clavis: Expected Price
The Kia Carens had a starting price of Rs 10.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Hence, the Carens Clavis will likely be priced around Rs 11 lakh, making it ideal for the MPV to compete against rivals like Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, XL6, and Toyota Rumion.
