Jeep launched the Compass in the Indian market a while ago and has been introducing minor updates to the SUV since then, at times in the form of special edition versions. Continuing with the pattern, the brand is preparing to launch a new Compass Track Edition, which is expected to make its debut in a few days. Before the event, the automaker has released a teaser hinting at the design of the new version.
The short video clip shared via social media keeps the details of the vehicle a secret. However, it gives a glimpse of a few design elements. To begin with, the automaker has placed a 'Track' badge on the outside, along with what seems like new graphics. Along with this, we can expect some more exterior changes unique to the version, without altering the basic design of the SUV. Additionally, the SUV will have similar cosmetic changes on the inside with new upholstery, along with other elements.

Meanwhile, the mechanical bits of the Jeep Compass are expected to remain the same. It will likely continue to have the 2.0-litre diesel engine, which kicks out 172 hp of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with manual and automatic transmission options.
It's worth mentioning that before the Track edition, Jeep had adopted a similar approach with the Trail Editions of the Meridian and the Compass, which featured minor aesthetic enhancements, fresh body decals, and dark-themed interiors highlighted by red accents. Considering this trend, we expect the upcoming Track edition will likely carry a slightly higher price than the standard version of the model.
