
Honda has unveiled its first electric motorcycle in the European market, called the WN7. This is the first model of the Japanese automaker in the lineup of larger electric two-wheelers. Furthermore, it is important for the manufacturer as it contributes to its goal of achieving carbon neutrality. With a fixed battery design, the electric two-wheeler has been introduced in Europe for 12,999 Pounds (around Rs 15.55 lakh).
Originally introduced as the "EV FUN Concept", the bike in its production version is called WN7. The 'W' in its name stands for Wind, while the 'N' is for naked, and the number '7' represents the power class that the bike will compete in. In other words, it is going to offer performance figures that are equivalent to something that a 600 cc ICE motorcycle would offer. However, the torque output is expected to rival 1000 cc ICE motorcycles. The full specifications will be revealed at EICMA in November.

It offers an estimated range of 130 km on a single charge using a lithium-ion battery. This unit supports CCS2 rapid charging, which makes it capable of going from 20 percent to 80 percent in 30 minutes of charging. The brand is also offering the option of a home charger capable of juicing it up to 100 percent in under 3 hours.

Speculating based on the image, the motorcycle is expected to get a DCT system as indicated by the '+' and '-' buttons on the left-hand side of the handlebars. This will work with a belt-drive system. Furthermore, the motorcycle is expected to get cruise control as part of the feature list.
The Honda WN7 is equipped with a sleek, modern design that emphasizes its electric vehicle character. It offers riders a 5-inch TFT display that connects via Honda RoadSync, allowing for effortless integration of navigation, phone calls, and notifications.
