
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has begun deliveries of the newly launched Rebel 500 and the X-ADV in India. Both models are on sale at Honda's BigWing Topline dealerships but there's a catch. While the X-ADV is on sale across BigWing dealerships in the country, the Rebel 500 is only on sale in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The Honda Rebel 500 is priced at Rs. 5.12 lakh and is offered in only one colour that is Matte Black Metallic.

Powering the Rebel 500 is a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder motor that makes 45.6 hp at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Honda says the engine offers a torque-rich performance, with a strong bottom-end. The design is that of a retro-cruiser with relaxed ergonomics and a rather low seat height of 690 mm.

On the other hand, the Honda X-ADV is priced at Rs. 11.91 lakh (ex-showroom). Yes, it is steeply priced but if you do end up buying one, you will be among a handful of exclusive owners. The Honda X-ADV gets a 745cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, and it produces 57 hp at 6,750 rpm and 69 Nm of maximum torque at 4,750 rpm. The X-ADV includes features like a USB Type-C charging port, a 5-inch full-colour TFT display.
Also, Honda RoadSync app connectivity enables riders to receive calls and SMS alerts, access turn-by-turn navigation, and control music along with voice commands. It gets riding features like ride-by-wire technology, four default riding modes - standard, sport, rain, and gravel. It also gets Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for optimal traction in varying road conditions and a cruise control system. Honda offers the X-ADV in two colours - Graphite Black and Pearl Glare White.
