Honda Cars India recently launched the City Sport Edition in the Indian market. Now, the aesthetically upgraded version of the sedan introduced at Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom) has started reaching the dealerships. This iteration of the vehicle might help the brand in boosting the sales of the model, which faces competition from rivals like Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Hyundai Verna in the Indian market. Here are all the details of the vehicle you need to know.

The most notable revisions that the Honda City Sport Edition introduces are exterior modifications. These changes include a black front grille, a glossy black shark fin antenna, a black trunk lip spoiler, and black outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). Additionally, a 'Sport' badge has been added to denote the unique nature of the vehicle. All these features are complemented by grey alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin showcases an all-black interior design, marking a notable departure from the dual-tone scheme typically found in most City variants. The seats, door panels, and steering wheel feature contrasting red stitching. The roof liner and pillars are also finished in black, while additional aesthetic upgrades include a dark red dashboard insert, glossy black air conditioning vents, and 7-color ambient lighting, which is absent in the standard model. However, these enhancements are not accessible to all consumers, as the production of this model is limited.

In terms of features, the City Sport includes all the conveniences found in the higher trims of the standard City. This encompasses Honda Sensing, the brand's sophisticated driver-assistance system (ADAS), which offers capabilities such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and a collision mitigation braking system, among others.

The Honda City Sport is based on the fifth-generation Honda City and retains the same mechanical configuration as the regular petrol version. The vehicle continues to use Honda's 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine, which is compatible with E20 fuel. It delivers 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission that features paddle shifters, boasting a claimed mileage of 18.4 kmpl.
