Hyundai has launched the 2026 Exter in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 5.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated version of the Tata Punch rival comes with changes in design, interior and the list of features. Meanwhile, mechanically, the car remains the same as the previous model year. With these changes in place, the most expensive variant of the SUV now comes priced at Rs 9.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
2026 Hyundai Exter: Design
The new model year of the Hyundai Exter comes with a slightly tweaked front fascia. It now gets a new design for the grille with a dark finish. Along with it, the SUV now gets a new centre garnish. Talking of changes, the brand has given it a new design for the 15-inch alloy wheels, along with a prominent new rear spoiler. It also gets a new tailgate and C-pillar garnish. With a height of 1,643 mm, the brand claims it's the tallest car in its segment.

All of this is complemented by 7 Monotone and 1 Dual Tone colour options, with 2 new colours. The list includes new Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte, along with Titan Grey, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titanium Black, Ranger Khaki, and Ranger Khaki with Black roof (Dual Tone).
2026 Hyundai Exter: Interior
The brand has revised the interiors with the use of a new dual-tone Navy and Grey interior theme. Complementing it is a new 3D finish for the carbon-patterned dashboard and a D-cut steering wheel. Taking a closer look, the brand is now offering metal pedals. Meanwhile, the vehicle continues to have 391 litres of boot space. For better comfort, the car now gets a folding driver's armrest.

2026 Hyundai Exter: Features
While most of the features have been carried forward from the previous model year, the car now gets a first‑in‑segment dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new Type‑C USB port for rear passengers, Bluelink with more than 60 connected features, and over 300 embedded voice commands that work without internet.
2026 Hyundai Exter: Powertrain
Engine options for the 2026 Hyundai Exter remain the same, with the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine giving the option of a CNG powertrain. Transmission options include MT and AMT. It is to be noted that the CNG version comes with 225-litre dual-cylinders.
