We oppose autonomy for J&K, says BJP
New Delhi: After the all-party meet on Kashmir ended without a consensus on the lifting of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from some districts of the state, the BJP has come out and said that they strongly oppose autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking in a press conference, BJP Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said that talks on Kashmir should be within the constitutional framework and the BJP would coordinate in any such dialogue process.

He also said that BJP representatives will be part of the all-part delegation which will shortly be going to Kashmir.

The BJP Spokesperson made it clear that as far as the most uncompetitive handling of Kashmir is concerned, Omar Abdullah cannot escape the blame and that the BJP is clear that their stand on AFSPA is in national interest.
