The saffron Gandhi has a new war cry -- Varun Gandhi says it's the duty of all Hindus to become warriors to save their religion. And the rhetoric didn't end there, the Haryana BJP promised a new law to curb Western culture and music that apparently spreads "vulgarity " in its election manifesto.

BJP on Tuesday released its election manifesto for Haryana elections. Senior BJP leader and state president Krishna Pal Gujjar said that BJP will make law to see that in the name of culture western music and vulgarity is not spread', this is part of the election manifesto in Hindi.

From the man who had aspirations of being the BJP's shining star, the months since may have been a reality check many in his party blamed his hate speeches for the BJP's rout in UP pushing the Muslims to vote in favour of the Congress but time doesn't seem to have tempered Varun's rhetoric.

"All Hindus should become warriors to save the religion, it is the duty of all Hindus," said Varun Gandhi, BJP MP.

These words uttered while visiting a temple in Ghaziabad perhaps is a proof that for Varun his image as Hindu yuva samarat is one he believes will work for him. This was Varun's first public speech since the Lok Sabha elections again not exactly music to his party's ears.

"The BJP has made it clear on issues of ideology - at its national executive that it doesn't believe in a theocratic state," said Ravishankar Prasad, BJP leader.

Theocratic state it might not want but the BJP's Haryana unit is going to the polls promising a law to curb vulgarity.

In this atmosphere, this could be Varun's way of staying in the good books of the RSS but for the BJP, their Pilibhit MP again might ignite another controversy.
