BJP president Rajnath Singh, and party leaders Arun Jaitley and Vasunshara Raje addressed the media at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi even as Congress workers protested outside.

Rajnath Singh:- In the Sohrabuddin encounter case, a supplementary chargesheet has been filed in which our leader from Rajasthan has been named
- I believe this is a well-planned conspiracy by the UPA government and we will fight this politically
Arun Jaitley:
- We had said when Amit Shah was named that there was no truth in the matter
- When his bail plea was heard, it was proved correct - we saw there was no evidence
- Unlike in other murder cases, trial court gave him bail and that was confirmed by the High Court and the Supreme Court
- Lies can have many versions, the truth has just one
- The case has now been changed - marble lobby is a new angle that has been added
- We have no hope from CBI and its officials will make an unbiased investigation
- It was such a shoddy investigation
- Should the CBI be allowed to arrest someone because permission had not been granted earlier? (quotes from Amit Shah case)
- In Rajasthan, they have dug up a 6-7 year old case; leaked information to newspapers... in the Rajender Rathore case court said charges could not be framed
- The Attorney General on May 27, 2011 said, "More evidence should be collected and only then it should be considered that whether he should be joined as an accused."
- There is 100-times more evidence in the Railway Board member in which the CBI director has today said there is no evidence
- The nation needs to think about the questions raised about the CBI's integrity and credibility
- They can keep misusing the CBI. Our leadership will not run scared. They will suffer in the elections
- Falsehood in the CBI case is apparent
- In the Sohrabuddhin case, Amit Shah was targeted by the CBI but the real aim was Narendra Modi
Vasundhara Raje:
- The entire state and central leadership, the whole party is with Gulab Chand Kataria
- We believe he is completely innocent and these charges are completely motivated
