Drug dealer stabbed to death in Dehradun

Dehradun: A meeting between a drug dealer and a few buyers turned fatal for the former after he was stabbed to death following a disagreement during a drug deal in the Jogiwala area of Dehradun city, police said on Monday.

Police said that three men have been arrested in connection with the killing of Saurav Joshi on Sunday on Jwalpa Enclave Road.

The incident occurred when the 22-year-old Saurav went to sell the contraband to three persons, identified as Aditya Negi, Prateek Tiwari and Rohit Chauhan after being summoned there by a shopkeeper named Mayank Sudi.

However, an altercation broke out between the buyers and Saurav which led the trio to attack him and another man who was accompanying him, Vijayveer Joshi.

Notified by locals, police arrived on the spot to take the duo to the hospital where Saurav was declared brought dead. The condition of his accomplice Vijayveer, meanwhile, is critical.
