The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Brooklyn and Queens in New York City as Hurricane Irene heads for the city.
The warning is in effect until 4:15 a.m. Sunday. City officials are trying to spead the word to residents to go into the lowest possible floor in their homes and stay away from windows.
