Lego has been a favourite among children and adults for generations, thanks to its colourful building blocks and endless creative possibilities. You can recreate miniature cities, famous landmarks or even detailed models using these tiny construction toys.
Now, Lego fans have even more reason to celebrate with Legoland Resort in Shanghai, China. The world's largest Lego-themed amusement park opened its gates for visitors on July 5 last year. Recently, a travel vlogger shared the inside glimpses of the theme park on Instagram.

The man was seen riding through Lego-built scenes of traditional Chinese water towns. The Shanghai skyline was in full view, along with glimpses of houses, bridges, markets - all made out of Legos.
Main Features of Legoland Shanghai
Covering 318,000 square metres, Legoland Shanghai Resort includes eight themed lands such as Ninjago, Lego Friends and Monkie Kid. The resort offers 75 interactive rides and attractions, plus an on-site 250-room Lego hotel.
Built from more than 85 million Lego bricks, the park features detailed miniature replicas of Shanghai's skyline and the Lujiazui financial district waterfront. Every structure is made entirely from colourful plastic bricks.
Li Wenjie, CEO of Shanghai Yaheng International Travel, said in a statement, "It'll be yet another world-class amusement park that adds lustre to Shanghai's tourist industry. The Legoland Resort's synergy with the city's Disneyland and Haichang Ocean Park will offer tourists enjoyable, unique experiences that are not available in any other Chinese city."

Timing and tickets
The theme park typically operates from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. As per reports, regular day tickets range from approximately CNY 319 (roughly Rs 4,500) in the low season to CNY 599 (roughly Rs 8,500) during peak high-season periods. Foreign travellers are advised to bring their physical passports as they serve as their official entry tickets.
The resort is located roughly 60 kilometres outside of downtown Shanghai. You can travel there via train to Jinshan North Station. From there, the park is a quick 10-minute taxi ride or bus trip.
