Kochi Metro: The five new stations are Ernakulam South, Kadavanthra, Elamkulam, Vytilla and Thykoodam. With this, the 18 kilometre functioning stretch of Kochi Metro has been extended to a total of 23 km.

Three labourers were killed and one seriously injured when a truck ploughed through them in Kerala's Kochi last night. The victims were contractual workers with the Kochi metro and were near the Muttam Yard where they were working the night shift when a speeding vehicle hit them. All four were rushed to the hospital.
