A self-styled 'Baba' was arrested at Cherampadi, for allegedly sexually harassing a woman from Kerala on the pretext of curing some disease a couple of days ago, police said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the woman belonging to Kozhikode in Kerala, police raided the house of the 'Baba' alias Mohammed and arrested him.
He had fleeced people of huge sums of money with promises of curing diseases and also unearthing hidden treasure, with his 'divine' power, in various parts of Nilgiris District and also Nilambur in Kerala, police said.
Quoting reports, police said that he was beaten up and forced to flee from Nilambur some months ago, when people saw through his tricks.
