Kadapa:
A 55-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from a hospital building here, police said on Friday.
The incident took place yesterday after Mahaboob Basha Khajapeer, a resident of Bismilla Nagar here beat his wife and injured her, they said.
Enraged, his son Farooq allegedly man handled his father and attacked him with a cricket bat. Both husband and wife were admitted to the RIMS (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences) for treatment, police said.
However, Khajapeer jumped from the fourth storey of the hospital and died on the spot. Police have registered a case and investigations are on.
