Firozabad: Unable to afford dowry, girl commits suicide

Firozabad: Depressed over not being able to get married due to heavy dowry demands, a 19-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of a room in Matsaina area in Firozabad, police said.

Upma, a final year BA student, hanged herself in the house of a relative. She was depressed because she could not meet the heavy dowry demands, police said.
