Raksha Bandhan: The video shows a brother tying a rakhi on his sister's wrist

New Delhi:  Traditionally, sisters tie rakhis to their brothers on the festival of Raksha Bandhan. However, this wonderful advertisement suggests everyone "celebrate Rakhi with a new perception this year" - by tying a rakhi to your sister or anyone else who protects you. The adorable ad has managed to touch a chord with many on Facebook. Since being posted on the social networking site on July 15, the video has collected over 7.4 million views, nearly 1.8 lakh reactions and more than 75,000 shares.

The video opens with a sister tying a rakhi (thread) on her brother's wrist. Once she's done her brother pulls out a rakhi of his own. As surprised family members stare at him, his sister asks him who that rakhi is for. Turns out, he bought that rakhi to tie on his sister's wrist and goes on to list all the reasons why he decided to do so.

"My brother's been tying rakhi on my wrist for as long as I can remember. It never came to my mind that that wasn't the norm," says one Facebook user on the video. "New thought, liked it. We are three sisters, we don't tie rakhis, but yes do send Raksha Bandhan wishes to each other," says another.
