"I started crying because I thought I wasn't going to get to see him be born, because I was too short," Jacee Dellapena, told MS News Now. That's when the doctor delivering the baby asked Jacee if she would like to help deliver the baby.
"My doctor, Dr Walter Wolfe then suggested, 'Jacee why don't you suit up and come deliver the baby.' I was in shock lol! I told her as long as Zack (her husband) doesn't care go ahead and he said 'go for it Jacee!' She got suited up for delivery," Jacee's mother Dede Dellapenna wrote in a post for the 'Love What Matters' Facebook page. "Dr Wolfe actually put her hands on the inside of his and allowed her to do the entire delivery," she explains.
"I actually, like delivered him, like, he let me actually push down and pull the baby out....I was like, wow, like I've played fake doctor before, but this is, like, the real thing, this is the real deal. I was really nervous," Jacee, told MS News Now. She even got to cut the umbilical cord.
"I couldn't believe it," she told Today.com. "It was like, oh my goodness, I just delivered a baby, and it's my baby brother, and I'm going to tell him when he gets older that I delivered him. I can't wait."
Photos of Jacee delivering her baby brother have since gone insanely viral online. Several people have commented saying the pictures capture a beautiful moment and this will help strengthen the bond between the siblings. Some have even shared their own similar experiences. However, some have raised questions on whether it was too 'traumatising' for the young girl.
Some disagree with the approach.
