Marathi classes for outstation bankers

Mumbai: State Bank of India Officers' Association held 'Marathi Learning Classes' for bank officers who have come from other states to the satellite city. The classes were arranged at SBOA Public School Nerul.

The purpose of the programme was to make the officers comfortable in the local language and improve communication skills to interact at places like market, railway stations, bus stations, schools, government offices, etc.

Rucha Rahalkar, Marathi teacher from the school held the classes. Dhaval Dave, who attended the classes was very much impressed by the initiative and said it was very useful and timely. He added that becoming local is as much important as going global.

There was tremendous response for the programme and there is a demand to arrange more such classes.
