It only seems like yesterday when Harnaaz Sandhu made history with her epic win at the Miss Universe beauty pageant. Sushmita Sen paved the way back in 1994, and Lara Dutta followed suit in 2000. After a 21-year halt, Harnaaz Sandhu brought the crown back home and not a day has gone by without priding in her big win. At the Miss Universe 2022 beauty pageant, a very emotional Harnaaz Sandhu returned to the stage. Even though she nearly tripped on the stage, the sheer rush of emotions on a teary-eyed Harnaaz Sandhu explains that; it was us who tripped hard after looking at her gorgeous ball gown and didn't mind it at all. Dressed in a black gown designed by Saisha Shinde, Harnaaz Sandhu paid special tribute to Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta in their crowning glories with their faces printed on her large statement bow at the back. You couldn't help but beam with pride at first glance.
The real gorgeousness doesn't lie at the back of this gown but in its entirety though. The two-piece gown includes a form-fitting black gown with a tone-on-tone sequinned contour design that traces the ensemble and a large tulle skirt with a dramatic trail. The plunging neckline extends to a mesh glitzy cutout design on the side and once you turn around, you can witness the deep backless design that extends to her statement bow. Drop earrings and her signature glam including smokey eyes, a nude lip, and her wavy hair put together still couldn't top her heartwarming gesture to some of India's OG beauty queens.
