Oscars 2018: 10 Celebrity Beauty Looks That Slayed On The Red Carpet

The Oscars are, without a doubt, the gold standard of award ceremonies. So you can only imagine how high the fashion and beauty bar is set for the spectacular night. As the 90th Academy Awards come to a close and bring the awards season to an end, we round up the 10 best celebrity beauty looks of the night. Fair warning: As expected, they were fantastic.

1. Jennifer Lawrence

With a sequined bronze Dior gown, Jennifer Lawrence wore her blonde hair in centre-parted sculpted curls which lent the ensemble a relaxed touch. She paired this with a glimmering winged eyeshadow makeup look, heavily highlighted cheeks and a brick red lipstick.

2. Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi had us go wow with her beauty choices on the red carpet. Along with a deep violet lip, Whoopi wore a dreadlocked braid with shaved sides and cool sunglasses to finish it off. It certainly was a striking look with dramatic elements and she worked them with class to the finish line.

3. Salma Hayek

In keeping true to her love of the designer, Salma Hayek chose a tiered Gucci gown with a jeweled body chain. Complementing her look was a wine toned matte lip, winged liner and a braided bun with loose flicks.

4. Danai Gurira

Ensuring that the beauty quotient of the Oscars 2018 was one for the record books was Danai Gurira. The Black Panther star showed off her glistening skin with strong strobing, voluminous lashes and a glossy wine lip. Danai also wore an intricate silver head stamp across the back of her shaved head.

5. Sandra Bullock

Keeping it sleek and sexy was Sandra Bullock in black and gold tones. In a sequined Louis Vuitton halter dress, she opted for brushed back brows, a dark smokey eye, nude lips and poker straight hair with a parting down the centre.

6. Zendaya

Judging by the high style standards she sets, you'd never believe Zendaya is just 21. The Greatest Showman actress opted for a sleek high bun hairstyle with baby hair left naturally. With it, she paired a brown eye makeup look, full brows, sculpted cheeks and glossy lips to go with her Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown.

7. Greta Gerwig

Greta made sure it wasn't only her movie Lady Bird that got people talking at the Oscars. In a sunshine yellow Rodarte gown, the director wore her short crop in a side parted waves and with it, winged eyeliner, flawlessly covered skin and a poppy pink lip.

8. Lupita Nyong'o

Expectantly, Lupita raised the roof on the beauty goals and how at the awards function. She complemented her heavy-on-sparkle Atelier Versace gown with a blue eye makeup look, filled brows, glossy lipstick and a gold hair accessory.

9. Helen Mirren

Young and old, both didn't fail to bring their A-game to the Oscars 2018 red carpet. Helen Mirren wore a demure teal sheath dress and paired it with lilac eye makeup, rosy cheeks, a plum lip and choppy short bob.

10. Taraji P. Henson

Taraji strutted in with the dose of oomph we ordered in a sheer cutout Vera Wang dress. She wore this with a sleek long bob, a shimmer grey eye and burgundy lipstick. Whoa Nelly indeed.
