We're always on the lookout for celebrity weddings, thanks to all the fun and excitement they bring even for those of us who can only watch from afar. The fancy clothes, the exalted guest list and two people that we kinda, sorta know finally admitting that they are actually a couple - what's not to love? But you know what's only slightly better than an actual celebrity wedding? The wedding of a celebrity sibling. Let us explain. Where else do you get to see stars so uninhibited and in their element, dancing the night away as if it were their last? Celebrity weddings are wonderful, but if you want to see a celebrity really loosen up and go all out, you've got to wait around for their sibling to tie the knot. If you think this is just a false claim, all you really have to do is look at all the pictures Swara Bhasker has shared from her brother's wedding - or as she likes to call it, her 'real Veere Di Wedding.'
Now, Veere Di Wedding is the name of Swara's new film and by happy chance, her brother tied the knot last month. Swara, in full sisterly fashion, made sure to share a series of stories on her Instagram page, starting from the leaving of the baarat to the pheras. While Swara didn't share all of those as actual posts on Instagram, she did make sure to share the details of her outfits and also posted some super fun pictures of herself from the wedding.
Swara started posting little details of what her look would comprise of right from prep time. She shared a picture trying on her 'nani's wedding maang tikka' which she went on to wear on her brother's wedding day.
She then went on to share a picture of herself dancing at the baarat, of course, wearing the same maang tika and an outfit designed by Rupa Chourasia. Her lehenga comprised of a gold blouse with a green and purple panelled skirt.
For the sangeet, Swara wore a black and gold lehenga designed by Bhumika Grover. See what we mean about letting loose, being completely uninhibited and dancing the night away like no one is watching? Swara definitely seems to be doing justice to the 'sister of the groom' tag.
Swara also shared some pictures from the mehndi ceremony. While we could only catch glimpses of her outfit from the picture she shared, Swara made sure to mention where her turquoise and gold jewelry was from. She wore a maang tika and jhumkas from Mrinalini Chandra Label that seemed to match the work on her blouse.
Swara Bhasker's real veere di wedding might be over, but we definitely can't wait for Veere Di Wedding, the film, which also stars Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor along with Swara Bhasker. The film is slated to release on June 1.
