How To Get Janhvi Kapoor's Braided Curl Hairstyle

Janhvi Kapoor cut a pretty picture at the Umang Police Show that was attended by most of Bollywood last night. For the event, she wore a gold and silver embellished anarkali from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla with danging earrings.

Paired with the outfit was a naturally defined makeup look, which was very true to her style and a half braided updo hairstyle with curls. It's a step apart from the usual buns and loose hair we're used to seeing in Bollywood so if you'd like to try Janhvi's hairstyle yourself, here's how you can do it.

Step 1 - Start by using Batiste Heat & Shine Spray costing Rs 699, reduced from Rs 749 over the length as a preparatory step before heat styling.

Step 2 - Next, use a tail comb like Roots Styling Tail Comb costing Rs 135 to divide the hair from either temple across the back. The upper section will be braided and the lower one will be curled. Since we'll be braiding first, tie the lower section tightly.

Step 3 - Part the upper section in the middle. On the right-hand side section, divide hair further into 3 sections and begin French braiding, adding in hair from either side till the side of the head. Repeat the braiding on the left-hand side too.

Step 4 - Untie lower hair section. With the Vega Electric Hair Curler costing Rs 1,600, reduced from Rs 1,999, curl 2-inch sections of hair to get the large curls Janhvi is sporting. Once the lower section is completely curled, run your fingers through it to give it a natural look.
