Everywhere you look, there's a fabulous traditional ensemble unfolding. After all, it's the throes of the festive season and ethnic style for miles is expected. Dia Mirza joined in the fashionable side of the festivities when she decided to sport one of her signature stunning saree looks. Though a saree aficionado all the year through, when Diwali comes around it calls for an elevated sense of elegance which of course, Dia delivered. Wearing a handwoven linen saree from Anavila with checkered details and a sleeveless blouse, she completed her outfit with silver bangles, jhumkas and a braid in her hair.

Like we've said, her exceptional saree style cannot be missed at any time during the year. Her pastel toned saree with a short sleeve peach blouse was a subtly stylish take on the traditional garment.

She even played around with prints when she sported a white and blue polka dot saree by Maku which she wore with a sleeveless blue blouse and her hair straight and sleek. Does it get anymore elegant than this? We think not.

I used to love wearing my Mother's sarees as a child and play. Mom kept a few sarees for me to wear lest i got to the ‘good' ones and destroyed them! I'd tie a knot in the first wrap and then fold pleats, wrap the pallo around my waist and play different parts. Some days i'd be a teacher, some days a lawyer, some days a labourer... imagining a classroom full of children, a court case or a construction site. Im told i would be every part as i spent hours alone keeping myself entertained! Much later when i started doing acting workshops I discovered this to be an integral part of workshops! Imagining, creating and responding to imaginary circumstances and people. What FUN! How many of you as children created make believe situations and played different parts? #ActorsLife #LookThePart #Play #DoBeDoBeDo #ThrowBack #Tuesday #VocalForLocal #SareeNotSorry #MakuTextiles Outfit courtesy : @makutextiles Jewelry courtesy : @hyperbole_accessories Hair and makeup by : @shraddhamishra8 Styled by : @theiateckchandaney Managed by : @jainisha_shah @exceedentertainemnt Photos : @manojstillwala

While favouring bright tones for her saree looks, Dia also does so for others. Like the time she wore a ruffled yellow blouse with highlighted, glowing skin that rivaled the brightness of her outfit.

We never thought we'd see Dia in a co-ord set but there she was giving it her unique twist. She wore a Ritu Kumar printed set of a long sleeve blouse and maxi skirt with a choker necklace and black heels.
