More often than not; especially if you're new at it, eyeliner has a mind of its own that takes it where it wants to go. 1. Cotton Buds And Cleanser

Dip a clean cotton bud in a few drops of cleanser until it is damp and not soaked. Use this to spot correct the specific area where error occurred. Allow the area to dry and re-apply your eyeliner. Micellar water is ideal for this trick as it dries quickly. A light cleansing milk or lotion can also work but stay away from oil as it is too heavy for this purpose.

2. Pen Eyeliner

When the base line of your eyeliner becomes wonky or crooked instead of smooth and straight, a pen eyeliner can help. As it promises accuracy, its fine nib can be used to smoothen out the line by thickening it on top.

Meant specifically to conceal problem areas, concealer isn't only for blemishes and circles. If your eyeliner ends up near your brow bone or its line is too thick, concealer with a narrow applicator or fine brush can be layered on top and no one will be the wiser.

4. Cotton Buds And Petroleum Jelly

Similar to the first hack, a dab of petroleum jelly can be applied over the problem area and removed with the tip of a cotton bud. It will remove the misapplied eyeliner easily but needs careful application when doing so.

5. Turn It Around

If you want to go big rather than go home with your crooked eyeliner, you could turn it up a few notches rather than correct it. Once it dries, run a similar shade of eye shadow over it and slightly upwards. Add a second colour in the crease area and blend both together to turn this error into a fantastic eye makeup look.
