Rich in antioxidants, amla has often been used traditionally in face packs and shampoos in India. It is well-known for its anti-ageing properties, and is widely consumed in form of pickles and jams, as well as eaten raw.

Dr Kanodia's range of amla-based skincare products, has brought to Hollywood's limelight the many beauty benefits of amla. Now, the advantages of using amla as a skincare essential are endorsed by Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, supermodel Cindy Crawford, and reality star Kim Kardashian, among others.

Amla is extolled for its anti-ageing properties, since it improves the formation of collagen to prevent premature skin wrinkling and loss of elasticity in the skin.
