3 Ways To Eat Healthy Even When Everyone Around You Is Not
Eating healthy can be easier than you think

Whether you're just beginning on your quest for a healthier lifestyle or have always followed one, there is one thing that can easily stand in the way - food. We all have certain trigger foods that we absolutely cannot help but eat, and overeat, from time to time. Avoiding these trigger foods that cause a chain reaction of binge eating becomes even harder when everyone around you is constantly putting them down in front of you - even if just for themselves. So how do you maintain your clean eating record and steer clear of gorging down these tempting food items? There are a few things you can do that'll help you eat in a healthy manner even when everyone around you is on a junk eating spree.

1. Eat before you head out

If your biggest problem is that your friends, family, partner or colleagues are constantly eating junk in front of you, make sure to make use of the time that you're alone. Pack yourself a healthy, filling lunch and if you think you still might be tempted to eat what everyone else in office is eating, take time during your lunch hour or before to eat by yourself. Fill yourself up and then go sit with your colleagues. Same goes for when you're about to dine out with your partner or friends. If you've already fed yourself some healthy, satiating snacks before, you're less likely to want to indulge in a heavy, fat loaded meal.

2. Count your calories

Indulging every once in a while is definitely not a bad thing. In fact, allowing yourself to eat the food you love every now and then can actually help you avoid binge eating them later because you deprived yourself of those things. But when you know it's a day you'd want to indulge in some delicious but fattening food, save your macros for that particular meal. This essentially means that you should make it a habit to count your calories and eat mindfully. As long as you don't go over your required macros for the day, you should be okay. Flexible dieting is something a lot of people do, where they eat what they want but make sure it fits their macronutrient profiles. This can help you eat what you please, without really going above your target calorie goal.

3. Don't feel shy to take bites

Make sure what you order or cook for yourself is healthy. But also feel free to take bites of other people's food. Seriously, there is something strangely satisfying about it. Not only will you save yourself the guilt of ordering and eating an unhealthy meal, but you will also successfully curb your craving. Trust me, all it really takes to get those cravings in control are a few bites. The rest is all in your mind.
