Kanpur:
A doctor has been arrested for allegedly attempting rape on a minor girl who was staying with her ailing grandmother at a hospital in Kanpur.
The accused sexually assaulted the 14-year-old on the night of March 2, when she was with her grandmother who had undergone a surgery at the KPM Hospital in Filkhana area, Senior Superintendent of Police Yashshvi Yadav said on Saturday.
"An FIR was lodged a day after the incident at the local police station, and a search is on to nab the accused," he said, adding the doctor has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
