West Bengal Judicial Service Exam 2017, Notification Released
Official notification has been released for the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2017. West Bengal Public Service Commission will conduct the preliminary phase of the examination in May 2017. The Commission will hold the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination, 2017 for recruitment to the post of Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.) in West Bengal Judicial Service. The final exam will be held at Kolkata in July 2017. Candidates should note that the preliminary exam will be held in Kolkata and Darjeeling. Candidates having degree in law can apply for the exam which is being held for a total of 31 vacancies (2: clear; 29: anticipated). Candidates must also be in the age group of 23-35 years as on 25 March 2017.

Exam Pattern
Preliminary Exam will consist of one paper. The paper will be of Objective type and will contain 200 questions. The question paper will consist of questions related to English composition, General Knowledge, current affairs and test of reasoning, Indian Constitution, Law of Contracts and Torts, Law of Evidence, Civil Procedure Codes, Criminal Procedure Code and Indian Penal Code, Personal law and law of limitation.
Final Examination will comprise of eight compulsory papers and three papers on optional subjects. Each compulsory and optional paper will carry 100 marks and will be of three hours duration.
Personality Test will carry a total of 100 marks.
