Multi-agency probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death led to separate drugs investigation by the NCB.

In the "biggest" seizure of contraband in the drugs case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recovered hashish, besides other drugs, and cash worth crores during raids in Mumbai, NCB sources said. Drugs seized from various locations in Mumbai's posh Andheri West area include 5 kilograms of hashish - worth Rs 2.5 crore - small quantities of opioids (afeem) and MDMA, street name Ecstasy, they said.
The agency has also arrested missing drugs supplier Regel Mahakal - under its scanner for a long time - who has given information based on which more raids are being conducted in the city.
Sources added that the accused, whose locations are being raided, is the main supplier of drugs to Regel Mahakala - sent to two days in police custody.
"Today, we have arrested Regel Mahakal. We cannot disclose his links with Rhea Chakraborty and Showik," said NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, who is leading the operations.
According to sources, Regel Mahakala used to supply drugs to another accused Anuj Keshwani, who was arrested in September. Keshwani allegedly supplied drugs to Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June this year.
His death led to a multi-agency probe against Ms Chakraborty on the basis of a case filed by Mr Rajput's father. The probe revealed chats on drugs after which the NCB started a separate investigation into the links.
Ms Chakraborty and her brother, Showik, who were arrested for procuring drugs for Mr Rajput, were recently granted bail.
The NCB has since questioned and arrested many people linked with the Hindi film and entertainment industry, besides drug suppliers.
Regel Mahakal is connected to a few Bollywood celebrities, sources in the NCB confirmed, adding that his arrest could potentially unravel the entire chain of drugs supply in the entertainment industry.
