Mumbai:
Alert, Mumbai. Parts of the city will see 24-hour water cuts, starting Friday morning.
Areas likely to be affected are Chembur in North Mumbai and areas lying between Bandra and Jogeshwari in the West.
Local municipal officials warn of a complete water cut in Rashtriya Chemicals area of Chembur. Other areas in the Chembur vicinity like Sahyadri Nagar, Ganesh Nagar will face a 50 per cent water cut. Areas From Bandra to Jogeshwari in the western suburbs will face a 25 per cent cut.
The water cuts are to allow urgent repair work on pipelines. Water supply is expected to be restored by 10 am on Saturday.
