PM Modi to Discuss Exams on 'Mann ki Baat' This Evening

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss examinations on 'Mann ki Baat' radio show today.

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his next "Mann ki Baat" radio show at 8 pm today. The subject will be education and competitive exams - in view of the board exams for Class XII that are coming up next month.

The exams of Central Board of Secondary Education will begin on March 2. Around this time, the students also take various competitive exams, including the prestigious entrance exams for engineering, medicine and management courses.

In view of the pressure to succeed, the Prime Minister has invited students, teachers and parents to share their exam-related experiences on his government's interactive forum.

I urge students, parents & teachers to share exam experiences that would inspire youngsters & even motivate them in exam preparation," he said in a tweet earlier this month, promising to share some of the "thoughts, inputs & anecdotes" during the programme.

PM Modi addressed millions of students across the country last year on the occasion of Teachers' Day, which was aired by Doordarshan and the All India Radio. During the live interaction with around 1000 children that followed in Delhi's Manekshaw auditorium, he had advised them to "Work hard, play hard and sweat a lot".

The Prime Minister uses his radio address, "Mann ki Baat" (From the Heart) at least once a month to talk to the millions who live in rural India and don't have access to television.

He had used the programme to share his thoughts on a wide variety of issues, including the Clean India Campaign, black money, and drug abuse.

On January 27, PM Modi addressed the programme along with US President Barack Obama, who was in India as the Chief Guest of the Republic Day Parade.
