Koda scam: ED in Mumbai; Bollywood names involved?
Mumbai: He evaded questioning all of last week, but on Tuesday, a team of investigators spent the whole day at Madhu Koda's residence, sifting through papers and questioning the former Jharkhand chief minister. But in Delhi, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has begun action against him.

The ED will send a team to Mumbai today to collect documents of companies mentioned by Vikas Sinha, one of the close aides of Koda.

Vikas, who was arrested by Income Tax sleuths on November 6, has claimed that he is unwell. His medical tests were conducted on Tuesday and he has been allowed to take rest.

The ED is also looking into reports that two film actresses may be involved in the payoffs.

Meanwhile, the ED has issued an ultimatum to Binod Sinha, another close aide of Koda and an accused in the scam, to surrender by 4 pm today.

The ED will also continue interrogating Koda in Ranchi.

However, it seems Koda is not cooperating sufficiently with the investigators.

"We are questioning him about the evidence we found in his house. Till the whole process is completed it is difficult to ascertain what information we have but our investigation has been positive. It is moving forward in the right direction. So far as cooperation is concerned, Mr Koda is giving statements. If the statements are clear it will take less time because it all depends on how clear the statements are," said Income Tax Commissioner Ajit Srivastava.
