Rajasthan:
The Rajasthan government, in a late night order on Tuesday, dissolved the Rajasthan Cricket Association and appointed an ad hoc committee in its place to oversee cricket in the state.
The ad hoc committee will hold fresh elections for the RCA in three months.
NDTV had reported on how a feud within the selection committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association was affecting the future of young cricketers. In fact, two selection committees were selecting two different teams for Rajasthan leading to disqualification of the state players in all domestic cricket tournaments.
Rajasthan had to sit out the under 19 girls, the 20-20 domestic and the under 22 tournaments. The fate of the Ranji cricket team had also come under a cloud. The appointment of the ad hoc committe is expected to put Rajasthan cricket back on track.
