Mumbai: Ashutosh Kaushik, winner of realty show Big Boss, was charged with drunken driving and fined Rs 3,000 at suburban Andheri.
Twenty-nine-year-old Ashutosh, who is also winner of the fifth season of MTV's reality show Roadies, was riding his bike without helmet on J P Road late last night when he was intercepted, police said on Saturday.
"We found that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was not wearing a helmet and did not have his license. Ashutosh and his pillion rider were taken to nearby Andheri police station where he was fined Rs 3,000 and allowed to go," police said.
He has been asked to be present before a local court on Monday, they said.
Ashutosh, who was among the three finalists in the second season of popular show Big Boss along with Zulfi Syed and Raja Chaudhary, was nominated for eviction by the housemates thrice but was saved every time.
