2 Indian Air Force Units to Receive the Prestigious Presidential Standard

Jodhpur, Rajasthan:

President Pranab Mukherjee will confer the prestigious Presidential Standard on 21 Squadron and 116 Helicopter Unit on March 4 at a grand ceremony at the Air Force Station in Jodhpur.

Wing Commander AK Budhwar, Commanding Officer of 21 Squadron; and Wing Commander VS Rao, Commanding Officer of 116 Helicopter Unit will receive the Presidential Standards.

Addressing a Press Conference at Air Force Station Jodhpur, Air Marshal BS Dhanoa, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Air Command, said that Presidential Standards is a symbol of excellence and has been earned by these Units for their dedication and worthy contributions both during peace, and war.

"The Presidential Standards marks and epitomises the hard work, valour and sacrifice of all the personnel posted to these Units since their inception. It is a befitting recognition to their selfless service dedicated to the nation," Air Marshal Dhanoa said.
