My daughter is 5 months old. She has blue patches all over her back, top of her nose, joints, ankles and thighs since her birth . We have not taken her to a doctor yet. What could be the reason for these spots? I had urticaria when I was expecting for which I took Avail. Could it be because of this? My husband is epileptic and takes medicines for it, could this be the cause? Please advise.

The blue spot over the back is Mongolian spots which are likely to disappear by 1-2 years of age. The spots over the nose and groin are also most likely hyperpigmented spots which are likely to get lighter or disappear with age.
